Tap Water Records Official Launch Party

This is the official launch event for Tap Water Records, a women-led artist services agency based in Leeds, United Kingdom. With a strong focus on promoting equal representation in business hierarchies in the music industry, we aim to amplify voices that we believe have the power to reshape genres and to support a shift in industry structure dynamics. Our mission is to foster genuine relationships with artists across Yorkshire and to assist them in navigating the complexities of the music industry. Tap Water Records grew out of a music management project for University and has since fostered a community that highlights women working in historically gendered organizations in the music business. Our expertise is in genres ranging from post-punk, crank wave, indie alternative, and alternative rock – and we are so excited to connect with the music community across Yorkshire and beyond.

We’re welcoming our friends Eszter Vida and Andalusia as the first artists to sign with Tap Water Records, to assist us in launching the company with a night full of vibrant indie rock and alternative rock music at Oporto on September 22nd!

Leeds-based band, Andalusia, is best described as a dreamscape into a 90s alternative-rock revival. While they stray from positioning themselves into one particular genres, they draw their sound from many influences of early guitar music in the 90s. Eszter Vida is an indie rock quintet created by friends who met each other at University. Inspired by the likes of Wolf Alice, PJ Harvey and The Cranberries, the band is known for their versatile sound, penning songs that range from themes of love-loss and self-discovery.
