Sausage Fest will be teaming up with Oporto for a charity night in aid of Orchid, a Leeds-based charity helping fight testicular cancer.

The night will feature 4 Leeds-based acts, including the hotly-tipped Carnabells, as well as some other talented local musicians.

Hot dog and drinks deals will be available throughout the night, as well as a raffle! Come down and support your local music scene and help us raise as much money as we can for a great cause!

All donations are welcome, all profits will go to Orchid.

LUKE THOMPSON

Luke Thompson is the lead singer for the Carnabells who are a guitar thrashing, piano bashing, feet stamping rock ‘n’ roll 5 piece from an old mining village in the heart of Yorkshire. Formed in the summer of 2012, Carnabells have enjoyed the stamp of approval from BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 6, Amazing Radio and BBC Introducing with a slot at Glastonbury Festival 2014. Luke will be playing an exclusive acoustic set for us, covering lots of originals plus some very special surprises.

URBAN MERMAID
Fronted by adopted local favourite Charlie Lock, Urban Mermaid’s haunting vocal harmonies are a delight to be witnessed. Hailing from a small village in Bedford and now a regular performers in Leeds, Charlie and best friend Jack are no strangers to the pressures of growing up; none of which they couldn't triumph over using the medium of music. Big things lie ahead in 2015 for Urban Mermaid.

CHARLIE McKEON
Influenced by 60’s/70’s songwriters such as Paul Simon and Nick Drake, Charlie also takes from traditional folk songs and performance from Ireland and America. The stripped back nature of his live acoustic performances show a musical intimacy and honesty in the face of a day and age obsessed with ‘air-brushed’ music.

MATT RHODES
Matt Rhodes is one half of acoustic/electric duo, Goldsands. Listing his influences as bands such as Catfish and the Bottlemen, Foo Fighters, Coldplay, and artists such as Prince, Michael Jackson and James Blake, Matt incorporates acoustic guitar with electronic rhythms. Goldsands are currently working on their follow-up EP to their latest release ‘Make The Call’.
