DUSTY POP ENTERTAINMENT PRESENTS ** Luna Pines ** + Laminate Pet Animal (stripped back set) In The Morning Lights Denton Thrift _______________________________ Luna Pines Leeds based self-produced Luna Pines showcase modern electronica and polished Dream Pop mixed with ambient, almost post-rock sounds on their upcoming EP, ’The House We Lived In,’ which will be released via the bands label Sixteen Records on June 1st. Having played sold out local shows at prestigious venues like Belgrave last year, the 4 piece take influence from acts like Bon Iver, The Japanese House and James Blake, creating a nostalgic air of ambience, with soaring synths and heavy bass lines, reminding listeners of soundtracks similar to the brilliant Cliff Martinez score for 'Drive'. They’ve gained a lot of attention from prestigious blogs such as Hidden Herd and BBC Introducing with their last two singles. They are gearing up to play many respected venues across the UK, whilst using their solid foundation to take their music to new heights this year. ‘Luna Pines combined light, delicate, tones with pulsating choruses. Their musical dexterity and intricacy proved to be captivating' – Counterfeit Magazine 'The kind of band you just have to tell everyone about.' - Dan Alani, Reprezent Radio 'The kind of record that unfurls after each listen, revealing brilliant new facets on each play.' - Alan Raw, BBC Introducing 'Part The Japanese House, part Peter Gabriel, it’s delicately ethereal; full of wistful romanticisms yet without feeling heavily reliant on cliche. A truly beautiful, searingly honest listen.' - Crack In The Road, about second single, 'My Own Ceiling.' When self-empowering and completely DIY are components in the same conversation, there is a kinetic energy pulsing with endless possibility. Such is the case with Leeds electro-pop quartet Luna Pines. - Drunken Werewolf The DIY Leeds quartet create atmospheric and cathartic soundscapes wrapped around kaleidoscopic synths and pulsating beats, recalling a host of our favourite dream-poppers such as The Japanese House and London-based duo IDER. - Hidden Herd _______________________________ DOORS 7:30PM | £5ADV | DUSTYPOP.COM
