Futuresound Events presents BANFI 19th September Tickets £6 from http://bit.ly/2nIYUgt 14+ Doors 7pmTaking the name of their lead singer, Banfi is made up of Joe Banfi (vocals), Aaron Graham (Drums) and Chris McCuaig (Bass). The UK trio came together in 2015 when Chesire-born Joe was introduced to Aaron by a mutual friend. Both had embarked on different musical ventures, but in coming together, swiftly realised the music they were making was worthy of more than just a side-project tag. Soon Chris was introduced to the band, and thus Banfi was born. Their first single 'Happy when you go' released on Communion Records (Mumford and Sons, Catfish and the Bottlemen) was described by Clash as 'playful lyricism with a bittersweet quality that belies their tender years.' If you're a fan of BOMBAY BICYCLE CLUB, EVERYTHING EVERYTHING or MYSTERY JETS then check Banfi out on Spotify now: http://spoti.fi/2nxymOP

Futuresound Events Presents Dead Pretties Oporto Tuesday 3rd October Tickets £6 from http://bit.ly/2rkAjO5 FOR FANS OF: Husker Du (band) | CABBAGE | INHEAVEN Check Dead pretties out on Spotify: http://spoti.fi/2n7p1e0 Beginning as the result of a chance, shoeless acid-trip chance meeting, Dead Pretties quickly gravitated around their one common interest of making music. Dropping out of their respective musical colleges at 17 and instead choosing London’s smaller, more weathered venues as their musical institutions, the London-based three-piece soon set about making noise together wherever and whenever possible. Clambering on to any stage that would have them, Brixton’s The Windmill being somewhat unsurprisingly the most welcoming, the band soon enough began pricking (or perhaps perforating) the ears of mostly unsuspecting audiences with their volatile, guttural performances. Support slots to the likes of Drenge and The Orwells were soon offered, with the band showing they could set alight larger stages – whilst also regularly appearing with the likes of their South London contemporaries Goat Girl, Shame and Fish soon brought about a growing word-of-mouth following. Tickets available from Lunatickets, SEE Tickets, Crash Records & Jumbo Records

Dublin musician Ailbhe Reddy is a singer-songwriter whose deeply personal heart-on-her-sleeve lyrics and a memorable voice lingers with you long after your first taste" (Record of the Day, UK). She first began to attract attention when a homemade demo of her song ‘Cover Me’ was used in a Today FM radio advert in 2014. Later that year her first single, ‘Flesh & Blood’ garnered excellent reviews from Irish blogs, and was featured as Song of the day on the UK blog Folk Radio UK. Reddy has gone on to feature on every major Irish festival line up, such as Electric Picnic, Body & Soul, Other Voices, Hard Working Class Heroes, Knockanstockan and Spirit of Folk. Since the independent release of Reddy's hugely successful debut EP 'HOLLOWED OUT SEA', it has received excellent reviews and extensive radio play on TXFM, Today FM, 98FM and Dublin City FM. It has also been streamed over 1 MILLION times on Spotify. The first single, 'DISTRUST' received glowing reviews and lead to Ailbhe being named as Artist of the Week in The Irish Times. Influential UK industry newsletter Record of the Day recently featured the song stating ‘prepare to be floored….it’s wonderful’. Ailbhe is tipped for a major international breakthrough in 2017. Her first offering this year was her single 'RELENT' which was premiered on Nialler9 as part of his 'New Artists to Love in 2017' feature. It was Track of the Week in the Irish Times, part of Spotify UK's New Music Friday and was featured on blogs around the world including Earmilk in New York, The Revue in the UK and many more. PRESS QUOTES "Dublin Folk singer Ailbhe Reddy’s realness on the ballad "Relent" is staggering. It's raw emotion straining toward a cathartic salve, like a "good sore" after a hard workout. It elicits feelings of retrospection and the other side to a story about soured relationships." - Earmilk, NYC “Prepare to be floored – it’s wonderful.” – Record of the Day, UK "The first thing that wallops you square in the face is her bone-jarring, dynamic vocals which echo the power of London Grammar’s Hannah Reid. The second element is the sprawling soundscape she creates, mirroring the gripping and tantalizing approach of Daughter. When you bring these two things together, the result is something spectacular, something beautiful, and something memorable." - The Revue.ca “Confident… Orchestral swept, singer-songwriter lead music which has touches of Daughter.” – Nialler9 "Ailbhe Reddy has found fans wherever she has gone – whether its at festivals like Electric Picnic, Other Voices and Body & Soul among them. As she has grown in consciousness, so too has her craft ." - Nialler9 “Reddy’s stage presence is firm and assured… the overall impression is of an up-and-coming talent ready to run away with the prize.” – Tony Clayton-Lea “endlessly compelling…” – Hannah Thacker, The Most Radical List, UK

Futuresound Events Lowly Sunday 26th November Oporto Tickets £8 on sale now from: http://bit.ly/2qLQIgj For fans of Vagabon | Palace Winter | Amber Arcades The band describe their music as “noise-pop, and everything in between.” In this case, ‘noise’ refers to the textures and treatments that the quintet mould from synths, laptop and guitar, which give Lowly’s spacious songs unpredictable, shape-shifting qualities, iced by Nanna Schannong and Soffie Viemose’s radiant voices – all brilliantly layered by the band and co-producer Anders Boll, Efterklang’s long-trusted engineer/soundman. Lowly first met at the musical academy in Aarhus, Denmark, with Staub alongside Schannong (lead vocals, guitar), Soffie Viemose (lead vocals, laptop), Thomas Lund (bass, Moog) and Steffen Lundtoft (drums, percussion). Despite all five studying different subjects, and having their own bands on the go, “and having very different tastes” (the only band they can agree on is Radiohead), they quickly found an enviable chemistry. “Though we were not trying hard, Lowly slowly took over,” Staub recalls. “It was just fun and felt so easy, and inspiring.” Tickets available from Lunatickets, SEE Tickets, Crash Records & Jumbo Records
